No Nip, No Tip
Turning misogyny into art…
‘No Nip, No Tip’ was inspired by a less than pleasant customer at a venue that I was skimpying at in late 2024. The purples tones of the piece are a nod to the $5 note he had waved in my direction whilst shouting, ‘show us your nips!’ When i declined he responded with, ‘well, no nip, no tip’. Whilst it was a less than ideal situation, it inspired one of my favourite pieces to date and has gone on to sell multiple prints in skimpy bars throughout WA.
Plus he died shortly after (of natural causes) so its a fun anecdote to share with my skimpy customers; ‘If you’re rude to me, I might just paint a painting inspired by you and what happens, happens.’
