This four-part Shibari installation is more than a series of paintings — it is an immersive sculptural work that invites viewers to move around and through the quiet rituals of kink. Installed on a custom-built frame with authentic shibari hanging points and hemp rope rigging, the series creates a suspended cube of tension and tenderness, visibility and vulnerability.

Each canvas captures a different angle of a rope suspension between rigger Dany Dayze and model Anna Kidd. From side profiles to front and back perspectives, the work reveals not only the technical elegance of Shibari but also the emotional current exchanged through the ropes — an unspoken language of safety, surrender, and care.

The marbled paint pours that drip from each canvas mimic the energy flow between the two figures, connecting their bodies through color and movement. When viewed together, the series becomes a rotating conversation between dominance and submission, between stillness and support, between performer and partner.

At the heart of this work lies the artist’s own story: a journey through grief, anxiety, and eventual reclamation of the body through kink-informed healing. It challenges the viewer to look beyond stereotypes and see the tenderness in rope work — to witness kink not as spectacle, but as ceremony.
